This wall unit was made in 3 sections. The top and bottom moldings were built in one

section. All the wood used was mahogany except for the T.V. unit which was done with oak and purple heart.

The largest concern in making furniture for a T.V. unit is the interior space needed. In this case the dimensions were 20 - 25 inches; this is an unnatural proportion which can give the impression of consuming the space in the room.

In my work, I strive for a thin sleek look. That's why the middle section comes out an extra 5 inches. There are about 50 angle cuts for the molding and they are all joined as one piece.

All in all this was one of my most difficult yet most rewarding projects.
